So you're thinking around $20? Or higher? "Midrange" can be anywhere from $15 to $50; for me personally it's around the $20 range.
Another question: Do you want a domestic wine (usually from California, although there are other areas in the States that make wine) or imported (French, Italian, Spanish, Australian...) There's reasonably priced wine from any country, really; it's a matter of preference.
