Rain in the desert!

It`s raining! We even had a flash flood and water was up to my door. People I live in the desert where our rain fall for the whole year was 7 in.  We are now at 14 inches and it is still raining! Yay!

which desesrt are you in?

Out in NM myself and a huge hail storm just woke us all up... I thought for sure the sky light was going to burst from all the pounding it took!

As for flash flooding... until I moved to the desert I never understood that phrase in the scouting handbook that read "never pitch your tent in a dry riverbed"! LOL

Stay high and dry sweetie!! ;)

I think we were experiencing the same storm. I live in West Texas close to El Paso.

Yep... and Denver got tornados!

It's still raining off and on here ... although the hail gave us a break (no pun intended) around 1AM

Along with Patty, I was startled by the rain/hailstorm. Crikey! My apt. complex parking lot was totally flooded this morning, and I had left my truck windows open....sigh...

I wouldn't mind more rain, though. I like it. :)
