Any suggestions on a hobby besides reading and watching and buying movies? I am finding myself alone a lot, since my babies are growing up and have cars and jobs of their own and my youngest has a skate board and spends most of his time outside. I used to love my alone time, because I got to watch that movie that was not suitable for young kids and that my husband wasen`t interested in or read my book, but now I can watch anything I want and read so I am actually getting tired of doing the same old thing. I guess you can say I am in transition. I really have NO hobbys. I just don`t know what to do and I have NO friends that don`t work(remember I work mowing yards with hubby, but it isn`t the same as a career). I wish I was a painter and had a little studio and I could paint my time away, or was good at photography like Inya or q_spade! I`m a nurturer and I have no one that wants to be nurtured any more. ANYONE OUT THERE WANT TO BE NURTURED?lol!

You're looking for a hobby? Hm. Do you have a bunch of photos without a proper home? You could start sorting them and putting them in albums.

Are you good with your hands? Pottery, maybe, or jewelry making?

I've never really had hobbies myself, besides writing. I'm sort of at a loss for suggestions - sorry! :(

No you did good, you reminded me of all those photos that need to be sorted! Jolly good suggestion Alex! I`m a little shot sighted and sometimes I just need suggestions. Oh I wish I could write, I have such a vivid imagination and 0 talent a writing( you are so gifted be thankful).

Nurture me nurture me!!!

Seriously, the sorting photos is a great idea. Have you ever done scrapbooking? I'd love to have time to do that properly.

After you finish up the photos, volunteer somewhere! Since you need nurture, what about a hospital, soup kitchen, or "old folks home". Maybe the library needs help with it's children's programs. Or the YMCA. Or a museum. Or when school starts again, at an elementary school...they always need volunteers.

Don't give up on photography just because you don't think you are good at it. Does it make you happy? Do people like your photos?

I'm just full of ideas tonight! lol! Hang in there...you'll find your nurturing/creative outlet!

Mmmm? did someone mention jewelry-making? If you are interested I would be happy to help in any way I could. The photo album idea also sounds fantastic.
