“You love him too, don't you?”

My daughter will be going to school and traveling in Europe this fall. She will be in Belgium where she will be staying on August 12th and staying until the end of November. They will be going to Paris and London and Austria and all over Germany and other places so she will be everywhere. I need help with suggestions on a coat and shoes. They suggest that she buy a Northface coat. I want to buy the perfect coat that is water proof, and one that maybe has a zip out lining, so that she can wear it when it rains and is just a little cool or put the lining in when it is cold. She is also a stylish type person and wants a cute one that doesn`t make her look like an old lady. Now for shoes, what do you suggest? They will be walking alot and they need to be comfortable and water proof and again cute/stylish. We live in West Texas where it is dry and warm and we wear a coat every once in a while and it never rains or snows. So this is a new experience. She did live in Tennessee so she has a good umbrella and she got use to rain some, but not the way the weather will be in your neck of the woods. Also I am not a rich person so I want to be as thrifty as possible.
So any suggestions you can make will be deeply appreciated.
