You know that there is a little jewel amongst us in fanfiction land and her name is KAM!
What I love about her stories is even when there is angst, and Oh is she queen of the SH angst, but all woven through them is the best humor and love and wit! I love her writing! I just read Clams on a half Shell and Roller Skates, that is the cutest love story ever and so cleverly written with all the good love songs of the 70`s and Car wash, it is just fun, fun, fun!
Here are just two or my favorite excerpts from the story!
I really am in love with him. The happy for him if it kills me kind of in love.
Returning his badge to his inside pocket, Hutch gripped the edge of the music counter to keep from clenching his fist. "Okay, you're right. Most guys in my position would feel threatened. But you know why I don't? Because of three symphony tickets. Because he told me that he'd never let me fall. Because whenever he says 'trust me,' he's really saying 'I love you.' I've got the upper hand, and I'm going to hold it patiently until all the cards are dealt. So lay off the musical psychology before you hurt a good man who doesn't deserve it."
Did any of ya`ll spend every friday night at the skating rink with your pals in the 70`s? Did any of you skate alone half the night because you were a "good girl" and you stayed and skated while most of your friends made out or drank beer behind the rink and came in just in time to take their skates off and dance the the last 30min in just our socks? Memories! Thanks Kam!
